As part of the Mediterranean Music Project, MTF has spearheaded the Mediterranean Stars Festival project with the aim to rekindle the Mediterranean identity and promote unity across the region through pop music. Towards this end the Mediterranean Orchestra was founded in collaboration by world renowned Maestro Bruno Santori.
In this context, on the 4th October 2019 the first Mediterranean Stars Festival was organised in collaboration with Radio Italia. Over 45,000 people attended the concert with over 8,000 people travelling on purpose for this event. 17 international pop stars from across the Mediterranean region participated and performed live accompanied by the Mediterranean Orchestra and a Virtual Choir during the concert. The concert has been broadcasted on TVM, Italian TV channels and Radio Italia social media reaching over 5 million people. Given that this was the last major event by Radio Italia due to Covid 19, the concert and excerpts of it are broadcasted on a daily basis via RADIO ITALIA TV reaching hundreds of thousands of people daily.
