Global industry leaders in Malta for Mediterranean Tourism Forum

GO plc is sponsoring the Mediterranean Tourism Forum which is being held under the distinguished patronage of the President of Malta HE Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and hosted by the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) on the 21 November at the Hilton.  The aim of this initiative is to bring together stakeholders from the tourism sector in the Mediterranean region to discuss avenues for synergies. This year the theme of the Forum will be “The Great Story” because the Mediterranean offers a unique experience to tourists visiting the region.  Over 800 delegates are expected to attend ranging from top tourism operators and executives to politicians and other tourism stakeholders.

Guest speakers from Malta include Alfred Pisani, Founding member and President of Corinthia Hotels International, Tourism Minister Dr Edward Zammit Lewis as well as others from Italy, France, Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece, Tunisia, Hungary, the United States, Singapore, Sweden and India, will be participating. Among these will be Daniel Surya, founder and CEO of WIR Group, a leading brand-led innovation, technology and entertainment group based in Indonesia. The Group also includes South East Asia’s largest augmented reality (AR) unit which develops AR technology for theme parks, brand activations and public relations. On the same day, in the evening, a gala dinner under the auspices of the Prime Minister will be organised to host and present the first honorary Mediterranean Tourism Awards to the guests coming from all over the World.
